Abstract

A non-aqueous secondary cell is provided which is repeatedly chargeable and dischargeable. This cell comprises, as main components thereof, a negative electrode, a positive electrode, and a separator disposed between the negative and positive electrode and impregnated with an electrolyte. The negative electrode has lithium or lithium alloy as the active material. The positive electrode has manganese dioxide as the active material and contains Li.sub.2 MnO.sub.3.
