Abstract

The present invention relates to a new process for the preparation of diamine-alcohols. The process according to the present invention relates to the preparation of compounds of the formula: EQU R--NH--CH.sub.2 --CH(OH)--CH.sub.2 NH.sub.2 in which R is a C.sub.1 to C.sub.30 alkyl radical, characterized in that ammonia is reacted with the compound of the formula: ##STR1## in which R has the meaning given above and X is a halogen atom.
