Abstract
A radial tire for passenger cars comprising a rubber filler interposed between a turn-up portion of a carcass ply wound around a bead ring from the inside toward the outside thereof and the carcass ply and having a dynamic modulus of elasticity of at least 300 kg/cm.sup.2 and comprising an additional layer closely adhered to said rubber filler and composed of cords having a high modulus of elasticity which is larger than 2.5.times.10.sup.5 kg/cm.sup.2 and inclined at an angle within a range between 45.degree. and 75.degree. with respect to the carcass cord, the additional layer being arranged over a range which is 50% to 75% of the tire sectional height.
