Abstract

The present invention relates to new 2-trifluoromethyl-benzimidazoles of the general formula (I) ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents halogenoalkyl, PA1 R.sup.2 represents optionally substituted alkyl or PA1 R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together represent optionally substituted alkylene, PA1 R.sup.3 represents hydrogen or alkyl, PA1 X and Y independently of one another represent oxygen and sulphur, PA1 m represents 0 or 1 and PA1 n represents 0 or 1, a process for their preparation and their use as herbicides and microbicides.
