Abstract

Methods for producing a contact lens one-step cleaning and disinfecting tablet designed to be dissolved in water comprising: PA0 (A) preparing a tablettable neutralizing core mixture consisting essentially of at least one biocompatible reducing agent, at least one biocompatible catalyst, and at least one first buffering agent; PA0 (B) forming a core tablet from the mixture of step (A); PA0 (C) preparing a jacket mixture consisting essentially of at least one biocompatible cleaning and disinfecting agent and a second buffering agent; and PA0 (D) enveloping the core tablet of step (B) with the jacket mixture of step (C) so that it is completely surrounded by a stable outer layer thereof, as well as tablets produced by such methods.
