Abstract
A cyan dye-donor element for thermal dye transfer comprises a support having thereon a dye of cyan hue dispersed in a polymeric binder, the dye having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl; PA0 R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, halogen, --NHCOR.sup.1 or --NHSO.sub.2 R.sup.1 ; and PA0 J is --C.tbd.N, --Cl, --NHCOR.sup.1, --NHCO.sub.2 R.sup.1, --NHCONHR.sup.1, --NHCON(R.sup.1).sub.2, --SO.sub.2 NHR.sup.1, --NHSO.sub.2 R.sup.1, or ##STR2##
