Abstract
A composite film suitable for shrink-packaging bony cut meat, including at least one oxygen-impermeable layer, and at least one heat sealable, surface layer formed of a thermoplastic resin, said film having the following physical properties: EQU C.sub.L .gtoreq.15 EQU C.sub.T .gtoreq.15 EQU 80.ltoreq.S.sub.L .ltoreq.250 EQU 80.ltoreq.S.sub.T .ltoreq.250 EQU T.gtoreq.1.2S.sub.L +60 EQU T.gtoreq.1.2S.sub.T +60 wherein C.sub.L and C.sub.T represent the thermal contraction percentages (%) of the film measured in 90.degree. C. hot water in the longitudinal and transverse directions, respectively, S.sub.L and S.sub.T represent the thermal contraction stresses (g/cm) of the film measured in 90.degree. C. hot water in the longitudinal and transverse directions, respectively, and T represents the piercing strength (g) of the film measured in 90.degree. C. hot water.
