Abstract
A method for producing chlorosilanes, which are useful in a wide range of industrial field as an intermediate for organosilicon products such as silicone rubbers, silicone oils, silicone resins, etc. as well as a raw material for the production of organic chemicals such as medicines, agricultural chemicals, dyestuffs, etc., represented by the general formula, ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.4, which may be the same or different, represent an alkyl group having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, a chloromethyl group, an ethynyl group or a halogen atom; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3, which may be the same or different, represent an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R.sub.5 and R.sub.6, which may be the same or different, represent an alkyl group having from 1 to 2 carbon atoms; and R.sub.7 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, which comprises reacting a disiloxane represented by the general formula, ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are as defined above, or a silanol represented by the general formula, ##STR3## wherein R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.7 are as defined above, with phosgene in the presence or absence of a tertiary amide…
