Abstract
A piezoelectric crystal element is resiliently urged to a home position and drives a plunger member and a print wire in printing operation. Upon rebound movement, the crystal element contacts a step portion of the print head housing to inhibit oscillation of the crystal element more rapidly than oscillation of the plunger member.
