Abstract
Article comprising a substrate bearing an optically clear, non-crosslinked coating formed from a blend comprising at least one polymer containing carbonylamido functional groups and at least one hydrophobic polymer substantially free of acidic functional groups. The coating is useful for promoting adhesion, increasing the hydrophilicity of the surface of the article, and increasing receptivity of the substrate for aqueous based inks.
