Abstract
In the present invention disclosed are high-molecular-weight, soluble, thermoplastic branched polycarbonates endowed with improved properties, and suitable to blow-moulding fabrication. Such polycarbonates are characterized by the presence, in their structure, of units deriving from the following single-ring aromatic compounds: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 indicates H, --COCl, --SO.sub.2 Cl; R.sub.2, and R.sub.3, equal to or different from each other, indicate --COCl or SO.sub.2 Cl. The above-said compounds are directly used in the syntheses.
