Abstract

A method for processing a silver halide color photographic material which comprises, after color development of an exposed silver halide color photographic material containing a hydrolyzable type DIR coupler, rapidly processing the developed silver halide color photographic material with a liquid having a bleaching ability and subsequently with a liquid having a bleach-fixing ability, to thereby form a color image. In accordance with the method for processing a silver halide color photographic material, desilveration is completed in a short period of time and color photographic images having excellent color reproducibility and fastness are obtained.
