Abstract
A method for processing a silver halide color photographic material comprising the step of processing a silver halide color photographic material after imagewise exposure thereof with a color developer containing at least one aromatic primary amine developing agent and at least one hydrazine compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group, provided that R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 may be linked to form a heterocyclic ring; R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may be linked to form a heterocyclic ring; and at least two hydrazine moieties derived from the compound represented by formula (I) may be linked to form a dimer or polymer by any of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4.
