Abstract
In a VTR which provides recording and reproduction of one field video signal the signal is divided into N signal portions with the use of M number of magnetic heads. The signal to be recorded into the nth (n=1, 2, . . . , N) track is delayed by a time (n-1).multidot.T at the recording end and an addition signal of period E is inserted into the blanking period which results from the delaying, and during reproduction or play-back the signal reproduced from the n-th track is delayed by a time (N-n).multidot.d, and is TBC processed, thereby obtaining a composite screen with no skew.
