Abstract

The wet-fastness properties of cellulose materials dyed with sulfur dyestuffs is improved by treating the cellulose materials, before, during or after dyeing, with a polymer which is a copolymer or homopolymer of a monomer of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 denote, for example, hydrogen or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.22)-alkyl; R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 denote hydrogen or methyl; and Y.sup..crclbar. denotes, for example, a monovalent anion.
