Abstract
New decapeptides having hypotensive action are disclosed, which can be defined by the formula: EQU GLp-Leu-Trp-Pro-X-Pro-Y-Z-Pro-Pro-OH (I) wherein: PA1 X=Arg or Orn PA1 Y=His or Gln PA1 Z=Ile or Val with the following limitations: when PA1 X=Arg: PA1 Y=His PA1 Z=Val; when PA1 X=Orn: PA1 Y=Gln PA1 Z=Ile; or, when PA1 X=Orn: PA1 Y=His PA1 Z=Val and pharmaceutically acceptable salts, amides of alkyl esters thereof.
