Abstract

Cyclohexenone derivative of the formula ##STR1## where A is oxygen or NOR.sup.8, where R.sup.8 is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, haloalkyl or haloalkenyl, chlorothienyl or alkoxyalkyl PA0 B is O, S, SO or SO.sub.2, PA0 X is hydrogen or methoxycarbonyl, PA0 R.sup.1 is hydrogen, carbonylalkyl, benzoyl or a cation, PA0 R.sup.2 is alkyl, PA0 R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are hydroxyl, chlorine, bromine, thioalkylcarboxyl, thiocarbonylalkyl, alkylcarbonyloxy, alkoxy, or alkylthio, or R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 together epoxy, PA0 R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are hydrogen or methyl or R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are together methyleneoxyethylene, and PA0 R.sup.7 is hydrogen or methyl, and herbicides containing these compounds.
