Abstract

New peptides of the formula I EQU X--Z--NR.sup.2 --CHR.sup.3 --CHOH--(CHR.sup.4).sub.n --CO--E wherein X, Z, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, E and n are as defined herein and their salts inhibit the activity of human plasma renin.
