A portable unit for combatting hypothermia comprises: PA1 a cylindrical insulating housing (1) opened at both ends, PA1 a heater/humidifier subassembly (20) in the housing, PA1 air circulator (16), PA1 a hose (9) connected to the outlet, PA1 a heat sensor (30) centered in the hose, PA1 and a heater regulator (24).
