Abstract
An indene compound of the general formula (I): ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 represents a lower alkyl group, R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom, an aryl group or lower alkyl group, R.sub.3 represents an alkyl group, and n indicates an integer of 2 or 3; or a salt thereof. The compound has very strong ameliorating or improving effects on cerebral circulation and metabolism, and thus is very useful for ameliorating, or suppressing the progress of, disturbances of brain tissues and functions.
