Abstract

A recording material comprising (i) an addition polymerizable compound having at least one ethylenic unsaturated double bond, (ii) a photopolymerization initiator composition and (iii) at least one component capable of causing a color reaction, wherein components (i), (ii) and (iii) are contained in microcapsules; and wherein said photopolymerization initiator composition (ii) comprises the following components (a), (b) and (c), whereby the light sensitivity of the recording material is improved: PA0 (a) a photo-absorbent having a molecular extinction coefficient of 10.sup.3 or more at a maximum absorption wavelength; PA0 (b) a hexaaryl-biimidazole; and PA0 (c) a heterocyclic mercapto compound of general formula (I): ##STR1## where Z is a non-metallic atomic group for formation of a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic nucleus.
