Abstract

Pyocyanine compounds of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents one of the formula --C.sub.1-10 -alkylene-CO.sub.2 -C.sub.1-5 -alkyl; PA1 --C.sub.1-10 -alkylene-CO.sub.2 H; and ##STR2## R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or C.sub.1-2 -alkyl and R.sup.1 is attached to the 7 or 8 aromatic ring position. The compounds are useful antibiotics.
