Abstract
A process for preparing a zeolite, e.g. ZSM-5, under controlled conditions of pH adjustment with an acid; SiO.sub.2 /Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 mole ratio, and in the substantial absence of alkali metal cations, is disclosed, as well as a process for using the same to synthesize olefins from methanol and/or dimethyl ether.
