Abstract
The invention relates to a process for the production of coatings based on polymers having a hydantoin structure by reacting blocked polyisocyanate carrying carbodiimide and/or uretone imine groups with .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated diicarboxylic acids or derivatives thereof at 50.degree. to 700.degree. C. said reaction being carried out on the substrate to be coated.
