Abstract

A water-glycol energy transmitting fluid having a viscosity of from about 10 to about 200 centistokes at 40.degree. C. comprising: PA1 (a) from about 30 to about 40 percent by weight, based upon the total weight of the fluid, of water, PA1 (b) diethylene glycol, PA1 (c) from about 0.8 to about 5.0 percent by weight, based upon the total weight of fluid, of an aliphatic carboxylic acid having 9 to 12 carbon atoms, PA1 (d) a water-soluble polymeric viscosity control agent, PA1 (e) A corrosion inhibiting amount of at lease one corrosion inhibitor, and PA1 (f) a metal deactivator.
