Abstract
The subject matter of the invention is a composition and a process for improving the condition of hair are improved based on a synergistic combination of glycine with a physiologically compatible aliphatic organic acid which is free of amino groups, particularly citric acid, and a wax and/or oil component, particularly a mixture of petrolatum and fatty alcohols. The combination of glycine, physiologically compatible aliphatic organic acid which is free of amino groups, and wax and/or oil components, which combination has a hair conditioning action, is completely harmless physiologically and can also be used together with anionic surfactants. The compositions, according to the invention, act on the hair so as to disentangle it, smooth the hair surface and improve the feel as well as the ability of the hair to be combed.
