Abstract
The present invention provides an economical method for the processing of silver halide color photographic materials comprising fixing or bleach-fixing of the material followed by the washing thereof with a small amount of a washing replenisher. The present method is characterized in that the silver halide color photographic material to be processed contains at least one cyan dye-forming coupler of the following formula (I) or (II) and that the amount of the washing replenisher in the washing step falls within the range of 30 to 50 times of the amount of the processing solution carried over from a previous bath based on the unit area of the photographic material being processed, ##STR1## wherein, R.sub.1 represents --CONR.sub.5 R.sub.6, --NHCOR.sub.5, --NHCOOR.sub.7, --NHSO.sub.2 R.sub.7, --NHCONR.sub.5 R.sub.6 or --NHSO.sub.2 NR.sub.5 R.sub.6 ; R.sub.2 represents a substituent on the naphthol ring; m is an integer of 0 to 3; R.sub.3 represents a mono-valent organic group; R.sub.4 represents a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; X represents a hydrogen atom or a group capable of being released by the coupling reaction with an oxidized aromatic primary amine developing agent; R…
