Abstract
A superior cylindrical filter having a long filtration life is provided, which filter is obtained by using interlaced filaments comprising 20% by weight or more of hot-melt-adhesive composite filaments composed of plurality of components having a melting point difference of 20.degree. C. or more and having two or more interlaced portions per meter of which the interlacing strength is 15.times.D mg or more, wound up on a core material in a cylindrical form under a tension of 15.times.D mg or less, the contact points of the interlaced filaments being bonded by melt-adhesion of the low melting component of the composite filaments.
