Abstract
A colored compound containing a cationic group and a cellulose reactive group, especially a compound of the formula: EQU A--Y--B I EQU Y'--B II wherein PA1 A is the cationic group; PA1 Y is a chromophore; PA1 Y' is a cationic chromophore and PA1 B is the reactive group, which is suitable for the preparation of a protein adsorbent or precipitant for use in the separation of mixtures of proteins.
