Abstract

Compounds of the formula: ##STR1## and salts thereof, wherein, PA1 Ar.sub.1 is phenyl, naphthyl or heterocyclic ring selected from the group consisting of quinolinyl, isoquinolinyl, pyridinyl, quinazolinyl, quinoxalinyl, benzimidazolyl, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolinyl or 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoxalinyl; PA1 R.sub.1 is hydrogen, alkyl, carboxy, carbalkoxy, alkanoyl, formyl, nitrilo, amino, halo, CF.sub.3, hydroxy, alkoxy, aralkoxy, aryloxy, nitro, sulfanyl, mercapto or alkylthio; PA1 R.sub.2 is hydrogen, alkyl or Ar.sub.1, PA1 n is 1 or 2 PA1 X is O, S, or NH-- PA1 Y is a bond, methylene or ethylene PA1 R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are independently hydrogen, alkyl or halo PA1 Ar is phenyl, naphthyl, pyridyl or quinolinyl containing one or two substituents selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkoxy, aryloxy, hydroxy, hydroxyalkyl, alkyl, aryl, halo, CF.sub.3, carboxy, carbalkoxy, lower acyl, nitrilo, amino, nitro, mercapto or alkylthio possess anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic activities.
