Abstract

A method and an apparatus for determination of basic values from a material specimen to analyze the vulcanization characteristic of the material and to enable measuring of a vulcanization process during the vulcanization in a rapid and safe manner. According to the method the specimen is shaped with resulting true measured values under pressure and at a temperature preferably in excess of 100.degree. C. to a predetermined form and thickness between two electrodes with plane-parallel sides facing each other which during the shaping process are brought into an intimate contact with the shaped body to form together a capacitor, the capacitance and loss angle of this capacitor being measured and recorded together and simultaneously with the temperature of at least one of the two electrodes as the basic values.
