Abstract

A synthetic filament-reinforced polymer material sheet having a very small thickness of 0.25 mm or less and a large specific tensile strength of 3.4.times.10.sup.6 cm or more is composed of a reinforcing sheet in which a number of straightened individual synthetic polymer filaments are arranged in parallel to each other and are spaced from each other at an average interval not larger than the average thickness of the filaments, and which has a width W anmd a thickness T satisfying the relationship W/T.gtoreq.40 and a coefficient of variation of thickness of 30% or less, and a polymer material impregnated in the spaces between the individual filaments.
