Abstract

Water-soluble, yellow monoazo dyestuffs of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a moiety of the formula ##STR2## R.sup.2 is methyl, ethyl, methoxy or ethoxy, R.sup.3 is methyl or ethyl, and PA0 n is a number from 0.3 to 1.7, are useful for the preparation of recording fluids.
