Abstract

A method for the treatment of alcoholism and medicaments used for such treatment wherein patients receive an effective amount of a 2-pyrimidinyl-1-piperazine derivative of the formula ##STR1## in which n represents one of the numbers 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, and PA0 R represents ##STR2## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each independently denote hydrogen or lower alkyl, or salts thereof.
