Abstract
Organopolysiloxanes with Bunte salt groups linked over carbon atoms are disclosed, as well as methods for the synthesis of these compounds by the reaction of organopolysiloxanes having epoxy groups with, in relation to the epoxy groups, equimolar amounts of Me.sub.2 S.sub.2 O.sub.3, in which Me is an alkali metal or an optionally substituted ammonium group. The compounds may be used for the permanent finishing of fibers or fiber products or for the treatment of hair.
