Abstract
It has long been the practice to clean monuments and memorials through the use of harsh chemicals or physical removal systems, such as sand blasting. A compound containing ammonium bifluoride (NH.sub.4 F.HF), denatured alcohol and water is mixed in an aqueous solution for use as a cleaning agent for all granite products and structures. A method of cleaning the granite items is also disclosed.
