Abstract

Remarkably high inter-image and edge effects are obtained when DIR-Couplers corresponding to Formula I are added to multilayered color photographic recording materials, in particular to green sensitive or red sensitive layers. The sharpness and color reproduction may thereby be improved. ##STR1## R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 denote alkyl or an aromatic group, R.sup.3 denotes H, alkyl or acylamino, PA1 R.sup.4 denotes H or alkyl PA1 R.sup.5 denotes alkyl, alkinyl, aryl, acyloxy, carbamoyl or a cyclic imido group and PA1 n has the value 0 or 1 and the total number of carbon atoms in R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 is greater than 3 but not greater than 11.
