Abstract
A process for preparing 3,5,5-trimethyl-4-hydroxy-2-cyclohexen-1-one, comprising: PA1 oxidizing beta-isophorone in the presence of hydrogen peroxide and a weak organic acid at a temperature in the range of 0.degree.-100.degree. C.
