Abstract

Thermotropic semiflexible polyesters are taught which are obtained by polycondensation of 4,4'-dihydroxybicyclohexyl with at least one .alpha.,.omega.- alkandioic acid of general formula: EQU HOOC-(CH.sub.2).sub.n -COOH (I) wherein n is an integer comprised between 4 and 12.
