Abstract
The present invention pertains to the use of 1,4-disubstituted-piperidinyl compounds in the treatment of insomnia. Said compounds have the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein: each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a C.sub.1-6 alkyl group, halogen, trifluoromethyl, hydroxy, a C.sub.1-6 alkoxy group, or an amino group; n is 2, 3, or 4; and the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof.
