Abstract
A dye-receiving element for thermal dye transfer comprising a support having thereon a polymeric dye image-receiving layer containing a polycarbonate having a T.sub.g from about 40.degree. C. to about 100.degree. C. and having the following formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently represents hydrogen, methyl or ethyl; PA0 m and n each independently represents an integer from 2 to 10; and PA0 p is an integer from 0 to 6.
