Abstract
An operating mechanism suitable for use in a vehicle door latch mechanism comprising structural components for locking, the operating mechanism comprising: PA1 (a) an inside handle release lever for being operated from the inside of the door; PA1 (b) an outside handle release lever for being operated from the outside of the door; PA1 (c) structure for being engaged by the inside handle release lever and outside handle release lever, the structure being connected to release the structural components of the latch mechanism for operation; PA1 (d) at least one of the inside handle release lever and outside handle release lever being movable to a position whereat the release lever cannot engage the structure to release the structural components when operated.
