Abstract

A method of selectively inducing chlorosis on a knapweed plant while spar other plants comprises applying a knapweed phytotoxic amount of the L,L isomer of the cyclodipeptide of the invention to a field at a period in time prior, during or subsequent to the emergence of the plants; and allowing for the cyclodipeptide to remain in contact with the plants for a period of time effective to attain the phytotoxic effect.
