Abstract

An apparatus for detecting bioelectric signals according to the present invention, comprises: a detecting electrode, a reference electrode, a stimulating signal generating circuit, a micro-current amplifying circuit, a signal processing circuit and an output device. The detecting apparatus applies a stimulating voltage in the range of 0.5-3.0 V to a reference acupoint on human or animal body via the reference electrode, and detects simultaneously the response current in the range 10.sup.-11 -10.sup.-4 A at different acupressure points on the body with the detecting electrode urged against the acupressure point, then the time response of the current is processed by the signal processing circuit to obtain the useful information for diagnosing diseases and verifying the therapeutic effects.
