Abstract
Compounds of formula (I) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof: ##STR1## wherein: X, Y and R.sub.1 -R.sub.6 are as defined have blood pressure lowering activity and K+ channel activator activity and are useful in the treatment of hypertension.
