Abstract

Hydroxyalkinyl-azolyl derivatives of the formula ##STR1## in which A is a nitrogen atom or the CH group, PA0 R is optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or phenyl, PA0 R.sup.1 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, or optionally substituted benzyl, PA0 R.sup.2 is hydrogen or methyl, and PA0 X is hydrogen, bromine or iodine, or addition products thereof with acids or metal salts exhibit fungicidal activity. Some intermediates therefor are also new.
