Abstract
Compounds having the formula: ##STR1## wherein: a. R is an organic radical selected from an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group in which the alkyl or alkenyl groups contain up to 32 carbon atoms and the aryl or aralkyl groups contain up to 15 carbon atoms; PA0 b. R.sup.1 is hydrogen or an organic radical selected from an alkyl group or alkenyl group, an aryl or aralkyl group in which the alkyl or alkenyl groups contain up to 32 carbon atoms and the aryl or aralkyl groups contain up to 15 carbon atoms; and, PA0 R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are the same or different alkyl groups containing from 1 to 32, more preferably 4 to 8, carbon atoms each are effective antiwear and antioxidant additives in lubricating oil.
