Abstract
A insect and mite repellent composition in which the active ingredient is an acylated .alpha.-amine acid ester derivative of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 stands for hydrogen or for an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl or alkinyl radical, PA1 R.sup.2 and R.sup.5 are identical or different and stand for optically substituted alkyl, alkenyl or alkinyl radicals and PA1 R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 stand for hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl, aralkyl or aryl, or together with the atom to which they are bonded form an optionally substituted, monocyclic ring.
