Abstract

The invention relates to 2-phenylsulphinyl-nitro-pyridines of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 denotes hydrogen, alkyl or halogen and PA1 R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 independently of one another represent hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkyoxy, haloalkoxy, cyano, nitro, carboxyl, alkoxycarbonyl, carboxamido, N-alkyl- or N,N-dialkylcarboxamido, acyl or primary, secondary or tertiary amino. processes for their preparation, and their use as microbicides for the protection of materials and fungicides in plant protection.
