Abstract

HMG-CoA reductase-inhibiting compounds of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is an optionally substituted alkyl as cycloalkyl radical, PA1 R.sup.2 is an optionally substituted aryl or heteroaryl radical, PA1 R.sup.3 is hydrogen or an organic radical, PA1 B is O or S, PA1 X is --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 or --CH.dbd.CH--, PA1 A is ##STR2## R.sup.6 is hydrogen or alkyl, and R.sup.7 is hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl, aryl or a cation.
